IT ALL STARTED WITH EMPTY SEATZ.

Houston Astros 2017 World Series

It was 2017 and Marshall Law (Co-founder, Rivalry Tech) was surprised by his wife with tickets for him and the kids to go to Game 2 of the World Series, Astros vs Dodgers. Having been too rushed to stop and get something before they got to their seats he debated the age-old question, "If I leave my seat will I miss something awesome?". He decided to take the chance and up Marshall and his kids went leaving their seats empty to wait in what turned out to be a 40-minute concession stand line. Marshall kept thinking to himself “What I wouldn’t give to have someone deliver this food to me right now.” Just then he turned to the jumbotron to see Yuli Gurriel drive a home run out toward where he and his kids should have been seated. The fans began to roar. They watched in horror as the camera followed the ball for what felt like hours, finally landing with a hard bounce smack in the middle of their vacant seats. The fans scrambled to catch the rogue ball and the moment ended, without them in it. He decided that was it, no more empty seats because of people waiting for food. If a ball comes flying at my seat I better be there and have a hotdog in my hand.

"WHY HASN'T IT BEEN DONE YET?

"BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T CREATED IT YET."

Just before revving up the engine to head home, Marshall sent Aaron a text to tell him about the idea.

“Why hasn’t it been done yet?” Aaron asked, “In true Marshall fashion, he answered back with, “Because we haven’t created it yet.”

Marshall was the tipping point for Aaron to realize his passion for entrepreneurship. Paired now with grit and fortitude, best estimates and processes, they quickly went to work developing the idea. As time would carry on, Aaron found himself drawing in an old friend, Craig Ceccanti, then CTO and Co-Founder to the business. Craig, a known serial entrepreneur, would join the team shortly thereafter describing how his decision to join was due to the seasoned leadership and individual skills of the team already in place.
